Scott Dimetrosky, Co-Founder and CEO

Scott Dimetrosky oversees all aspects of Rolling Energy Resource’s operations. As CEO, he is driven to create a company culture of talented staff that are passionate about the opportunity to work in the electric vehicle space. He brings over 20 years of experience designing and evaluating utility-sponsored energy efficiency and demand response programs, and leverages that experience – along with his background in statistics and economics – in leading RER. Prior to RER he founded a number of other successful companies, including Quantec (which was sold to the Cadmus Group) and Apex Analytics, which continues to provide strategy, planning, and evaluation research for the clean energy industry.

Katie Parkinson, VP of Utility Services

Katie Parkinson, VP Utility Services, plays multiple key roles at RER: she works directly with utility clients to design and implement in-field managed charging program; designs the RER MyCharge reports which use behavioral science best practices to turn intangible data into actionable insights for EV owners and utilities; and supports utilities in designing next generation managed charging programs. Katie’s expertise ranges from utility program impact evaluation, to project management, and is nationally known as a behavioral science expert (MS, London School of Economics) in the energy field. Katie has more than 15 years of experience in the utility industry, working with Cadmus and Apex Analytics, and serves RER’s key clients including ComEd, Eversource, Duke, PSE&G, APS, TXU, and Avista.

Bill LeBlanc, Chief Catalyst

Bill LeBlanc leads Rolling Energy Resource’s efforts in several key areas: new product development, utility program design and communications, market strategy, and utility thought leadership. He has particular expertise in EV adoption, consumer behavior, demand-side management program design, rate design and managed charging, design thinking, and utility strategy. Bill has over 20 years of experience working for E Source, EPRI, consulting firms, and PG&E, and he has given over 50 keynote addresses at events throughout the industry. He was named one of only seven people by the Association of Energy Services Professionals on their list of Game Changers of the past 30 Years.

Kevin Cooney, VP Market Strategy

Kevin Cooney directs market strategy and provides operational support for the CEO at Rolling Energy Resources. His extensive experience in energy efficiency, demand side management, and renewable energy programs includes portfolio design and evaluation, regulatory strategy, and investment analysis. Kevin leverages his engineering background and market knowledge to drive successful technology deployments. During his 25+ years in clean energy, he led the global DSM practice at Navigant, was CEO of Summit Blue Consulting, managed the research team at ESource, and served on the board of Energy Evaluation Europe. He is currently serves as Director on the boards of TriState G&T, and San Miguel Power Association

Steven Foreman, VP Product / Software Engineering 

Steven Foreman drives the evolution of Rolling Energy Resources’ operational and analytics platform to deliver EV management and control solutions with a keen eye towards future proofing our client’s journey.  He brings extensive experience developing and managing teams delivering great products that perform at scale. Steven is an innovative results-driven technology leader, an excellent cultural evolutionist, and brings outstanding business acumen from over 20 years leading business & technology transformation initiatives at Accenture. Steven has provided technology briefings to utility industry customers and partners on the benefits and challenges of leveraging telematics data from EVs. Steven is very conscious of the sensitive data that today’s organizations collect and has implemented industry leading cyber controls to protect our customers’ information. 

Dr. Dan Violette, Director and Board Member

Dr. Dan Violette is a lead investor, board member, and expert advisor on Rolling Energy Resources’ industry-leading EV analytics. He is a recognized leader in the areas of demand-side management and distributed energy resources (energy efficiency, demand response, electric vehicles, renewables and storage).  He has led integrated supply-side/demand-side resource planning assignments for utilities, and he is working on risk assessments of utility distribution systems and DER investments.  Dan’s contribution to the DER/utility industry is immense, having served three terms as Chair of AESP, two terms as the Vice Chair of the Peak Load Management Alliance (PLMA), and now is on SEPA’s DER Advisory Council. Dr. Violette was a founder and CEO of Summit Blue Consulting prior to its acquisition by Navigant Consulting (now Guidehouse). 

Carl Kalin, Strategic Advisor

Carl Kalin serves as both a strategic advisor to RER and as the grant manager for DOE SBIR and other grant programs. Carl has decades of experience as a strategic advisor to startup CEOs within the MIT Venture Mentor Services to launch high tech companies with funding, sales and strategic partnerships. He provides unique insights on RER growth and product strategies using this broad expertise. His most recent work focuses on overcoming hurdles to EV adoption and charging in multi-unit dwellings, with emphasis on underserved populations. Carl has created two national consortiums to make critical data widely available: EV Tracker (EV adoption to zip level plus load shapes) and CREED LightTracker (LED/high efficiency lighting adoption).
